At the UN, operative Mariah Craven briefs MJ-12 on her surveillance of Morgan and his investigation. Meanwhile, Morgan introduces himself to Rayna Masters while she visits Deathblow’s grave. Together, they find a videotape in a bank safety deposit box Cray left her and then return to her office to watch it. In the tape, Cray describes his efforts to learn what happened to his friend X’ing X’iang and, later, Team 7’s actions to hide their potentially superhuman children from Miles Craven. Phil Chang and Alex Fairchild fled to the country Melanesia, ruled by Cordelia of the Coda, for protection. Three years later, they returned to the U.S., but Cray’s lover FBI Agent Gaby Marconi received intelligence that IO Black Razors, led by a brainwashed Jackson Dane, were set to ambush them. Aided by a treasonous Coda, the Razors attacked Cordelia, Chang, and Fairchild when they arrived in Seattle. Cray and Marconi arrived in time to help, and they captured Dane, but the Razors escaped with one of the kids, Bobby Lane. Chang used his powers to partially restore Dane’ s memory, and then he and Fairchild left their kids with relatives. Chang, Cray, Dane, and Fairchild then began preparing to rescue Bobby from an IO facility called “The Farm”. The tape ends there, but Rayna’s operative Andrew Barker identifies The Farm’s location in the Adirondack Mountains. Morgan a vehicle drives to The Farm only to find it abandoned. As he enters, Phil Chang and his apprentice Cain arrive by teleportation.
